Ketchikan
First things first: I mentioned yesterday that if I got a good sunset shot last night, I’d post it today.
Here you go:
Up early (around 5:15 or so) and headed up to brekkie at the usual spot. The ship docked in Ketchikan, Alaska at 6:30am so brekkie was crowded earlier than usual. The town is really cute, even though it was raining. They get 200 days of rain per year.
We didn’t stay long in town because the rain got heavier and Rob is already fighting a cold, so we went back to the ship to dry off and have a nap. Afterward, I went to the big theatre to watch the host handbell choir practice for the big concert this afternoon.
Once rehearsal was done, Annie and I had a bit of time together, then I got Rob and we watched the concert. They did a good job. Some of the stuff they played was incredibly difficult.
After the show, the Calgary crew headed up to the Tamarind bar for some fun before dinner
Dinner was a cherry-and-thyme crusted salmon which was very good.
After dinner, there was a show featuring dance. I thought they did a really good job with this show.
After the show, five of us made it back up to the Tamarind bar. We were all in a pretty good mood before the night was over.
It’s been great, hanging out with Annie and not being in a meeting for a change (although we’ve had meetings on the ship). We always seem to have a good time together.
